The home team had won the previous three meetings between Annawan and Monmouth United, and Annawan kept the tradition alive. The Braves/Bravettes beat the Red Storm on Wednesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 2-1. For the Braves/Bravettes, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Red Storm walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Annawan had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-14, 25-21.

Annawan's win bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Monmouth United, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.

Looking ahead, Annawan will challenge Wethersfield at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Monmouth United, they will take on Rockridge in a tournament on Saturday.
