Tempe Prep's loss came about despite a quality game from Ava Butler, who had 15 digs and two assists.

Meanwhile, Santa Cruz Valley played in-conference for the first time on Tuesday and got just the result they were looking for. They came out on top in a nail-biter against NFL Yet Academy, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Dust Devils have posted since October 10, 2024.

Tempe Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Santa Cruz Valley, their victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 5-10.

Everything went Tempe Prep's way against Santa Cruz Valley in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Tempe Prep made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Dust Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
