Soccer Recap: Eagle Pass Comes Up Short

Eagle Pass lost against United back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagle Pass Eagles lost 9-1 to the United Longhorns. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 488th, while the Longhorns are ranked 198th).

Eagle Pass has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10-2 record this season. United pushed their record up to 9-4-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Eagle Pass will square off against United South at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Eagle Pass is facing United South at the right time seeing as United South is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for United, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 6-1 victory against Laredo LBJ on the 7th.
