Football Recap: Highlands Owls vs. Pleasanton Eagles

Highlands unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost to the Pleasanton Eagles at home by a 30-13 margin on Thursday. If the Owls were looking for revenge after losing 37-12 to the Eagles when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Adam Garcia threw for 78 yards and one touchdown. Devante Riley was his top target, picking up 76 receiving yards and one TD. On the ground, Josiah Carrillo rushed for 71 yards.

Highlands wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 14-6 loss against King on the 5th. As for Pleasanton, they have also already played their next game, a 17-14 victory against Jefferson on the 5th.
