Basketball Recap: Lindsay Redmon Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Greater Cabarrus S

Forsyth Home Educators's game on Friday was all tied up 17-17 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 42-30 win over the Greater Cabarrus S Stallions. The Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Stallions, too.

Forsyth Home Educators' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lindsay Redmon, who posted 16 points. Redmon continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Arnold, who scored eight points.

Greater Cabarrus S's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Austin Miller, who earned six points. Another player making a difference was McKenna Locklear, who had eight points and seven rebounds.

Forsyth Home Educators is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Greater Cabarrus S, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Forsyth Home Educators wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 42-33 win against Asheboro Hybrid Academy on the 9th. As for Greater Cabarrus S, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 29-26 victory against South Charlotte on the 10th.
