Basketball Recap: Vandalia Christian Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Vandalia Christian was feeling good fresh off their 76-50 takedown of New Manna Christian on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings took a 64-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Union Grove Christian Patriots on Monday. The Vikings lost against the Patriots in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 63-27 score last time.

Union Grove Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Calvin Miller, who posted 21 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Ethan Smith, who earned 17 points.

Vandalia Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Union Grove Christian, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Vandalia Christian will welcome Gospel Light Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Union Grove Christian, they are taking a road trip to square off against North Davidson at 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
