Basketball Game Preview: Tustin Tillers vs. Godinez Fundamental Grizzlies

The Tustin Tillers will challenge the Godinez Fundamental Grizzlies at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Tustin will be strutting in after a victory while Godinez Fundamental will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, Tustin was able to grind out a solid win over Calvary Chapel, taking the game 67-57. Given the Tillers' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while the Eagles are ranked 613th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Godinez Fundamental came up short against Fullerton on Wednesday and fell 52-45. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The victory made it two in a row for Tustin and bumps their season record up to 15-6. As for Godinez Fundamental, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.

Everything went Tustin's way against Godinez Fundamental when the teams last played back in November of 2021, as Tustin made off with a 51-27 win. Will Tustin repeat their success, or does Godinez Fundamental have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
