Basketball Recap: Neodesha Takes a Loss

Neodesha lost against Humboldt back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Neodesha Blue Streaks were dealt a 75-37 defeat at the hands of the Humboldt Cubs. The game marked the Blue Streaks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Humboldt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tre Franklin, who went 8 of 10 on his way to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Ellis, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 14 points and three steals.

Neodesha now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Humboldt, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Neodesha will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sedan on January 7, 2025. Humboldt also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against St. Mary's-Colgan at 7:15 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
