Volleyball Recap: Appleton East's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Appleton East hadn't done well against Kaukauna recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Patriots had just enough and edged out the Galloping Ghosts 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Patriots sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Their offense was headlined by Elizabeth Jacobs and Tesha Schlaak, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Addison Kiekhaefer and her 14 assists. Josie Heisler controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Appleton East now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Kaukauna, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Appleton East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Sheboygan Falls on the 30th. As for Kaukauna, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Pulaski on the 30th.
