Softball Game Preview: Valley Falls Dragons vs. Troy Trojans

Valley Falls hasn't had much luck against Troy recently, but that could start to change on Monday. Valley Falls will host Troy at 4:30 p.m.

Valley Falls fell victim to McLouth and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 13-0. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Troy put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Jefferson County North 18-8. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won three matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Troy pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 14.5 runs this season. As for Valley Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Everything went Valley Falls' way against Troy in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Valley Falls made off with a 14-4 win. Will Valley Falls repeat their success, or does Troy has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
