Lafayette is a perfect 5-0 against Incarnate Word Academy since September of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Lancers will head out to square off against the Red Knights at 6:30 p.m. Lafayette is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 14 games.

Lafayette saw some tournament action on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Jefferson City.

Lafayette relied on the efforts of Addy Wiese, who had nine digs and four assists, and Hailey Lowery, who had 13 assists.

Meanwhile, Incarnate Word Academy faced Jackson in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Red Knights blew past the Fighting Indians 3-0. The Red Knights not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 1st (when they won 3-0).

Incarnate Word Academy never let Jackson on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 26-24, 25-18.

Lafayette's record now sits at 29-1. As for Incarnate Word Academy, their record is now 20-12.

Lafayette took their win against Incarnate Word Academy when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lancers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
