Basketball Recap: Lowndes Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Lowndes walked away with it. They took down the Mill Creek Hawks 67-51 on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Vikings, who have now won four games in a row.

Lowndes' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaci Demps, who shot 47% from the field on her way to 16 points along with six assists and five boards. Demps is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Aryana Thomas, who went 6-for-13 to rack up 19 points and three steals.

Lowndes' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-5. As for Mill Creek, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-9.

Lowndes has already played their next match, a 57-54 loss against Grayson on the 25th. Mill Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
