T.R. Miller wins going away against Zion Chapel

The T.R. Miller Tigers can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They strolled past Zion Chapel with points to spare, taking the game 43-28. The victory was all the more spectacular given T.R. Miller's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 379th, while Zion Chapel is ranked 94th).
It was another big night for Heath Kirkland, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. Those 14 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Christopher Williams, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds.
T.R. Miller's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Zion Chapel, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4.
T.R. Miller won't have much time to rest: their next match is against New Brockton at 4:30 p.m. on December 29th. As for Zion Chapel, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Wicksburg at 7:00 p.m.
