After losing to Osawatomie the last time they met, Olpe decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Trojans 2-1.
If you add up the scores from across all three sets (69-65) Olpe actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 25-20, 26-24.
Lilly Skalsky paced Olpe's offense, picking up six kills. Skalsky got some help from Kayla Steinke and her nine assists. Steinke was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Olpe's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Osawatomie, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2-1.
