Volleyball Recap: Gilbert's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Gilbert hadn't done well against Camden recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Indians sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Bulldogs. The victory was nothing new for the Indians as they're now sitting on four straight.

Gilbert found their leader in freshman Abigail Widmann, who had seven digs and one assist. Aubrey Brewer also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Gilbert's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Camden, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Gilbert didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against North Central on the 20th. As for Camden, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Buford on the 20th.
