Hart (Newhall, Calif.) scored 21 points in the third quarter to secure a big 41-7 victory over Santa Monica (Calif.) on Saturday.
The Indians scored on a
Antoine Holmes touchdown run, a
Brady White touchdown pass to
Davis Koppenhaver and a punt return touchdown by
Trent Irwin in the quarter.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by White to
Wes Fitzpatrick in the first quarter, Hart led 20-0 at the half.
HHS expanded its lead to 34 points entering the fourth quarter. The Newhall school scored three times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Holmes.
Sebastian LaRue played well for the Vikings. The senior ran for one touchdown.
The Indians' most effective player was White. The sophomore quarterback threw three touchdowns.
Santa Monica's lone touchdown came on a 50-yard run by LaRue in the third quarter.
With the win Hart extended its winning streak to four games.
Hart (4-1) will play a Foothill game against West Ranch next week, while Santa Monica (2-3) will take on Morningside in a Ocean game.
