It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hardin can now relate to. They came up short against the Clifton Cubs on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Hornets' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-14, 25-13.

Clifton found their leader in sophomore Scarlett Kennedy, who had ten digs and three aces. Kennedy has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

Hardin's defeat dropped their record down to 22-17. As for Clifton, they are on a roll lately: they've won 23 of their last 24 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 41-6 record this season.
