Recap: McPherson Bullpups vs. Andover Central Jaguars
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the McPherson Bullpups, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell 28-21 to Andover Central on Friday. McPherson's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Andover Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jace Adler, who picked up 44 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Brandt Stupka also helped out with an impressive 83 receiving yards.
McPherson's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Andover Central, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
McPherson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Andover Central will head out on the road to face off against Wamego at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wamego will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive.
