Volleyball Game Preview: Bear Creek Bruins vs. Chavez Titans

The Bear Creek Bruins will head out on the road to challenge the Chavez Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Bear Creek is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Edison just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-27, 25-11, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Chavez sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Tokay on Wednesday.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (100-93) Chavez actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 25-18, 25-21, 14-25, 15-11.

Bear Creek's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Chavez, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9.

Bear Creek took their victory against Chavez when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bruins since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
