Baseball Recap: Southport Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Southport and Perry Meridian squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Southport had to settle for second. They lost 6-0 to the Falcons. The Cardinals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 10-0.

Southport's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Perry Meridian, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-13.

Southport does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Perry Meridian, they will square off against Center Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
