Basketball Recap: Westampton Tech Panthers vs. Rancocas Valley Red Devils
The Westampton Tech Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They fell 62-52 to Rancocas Valley. The matchup was a 33-33 toss-up at halftime, but Westampton Tech couldn't quite close it out.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Daelan Dickerson, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. Dickerson is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for four games straight. Another player making a difference was Shakur Anderson, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds.
Westampton Tech has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Rancocas Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westampton Tech won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Cougars at 12:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Cherry Hill East is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Rancocas Valley, they will be playing at home against the Flashes at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
