Football Recap: Pawnee's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last eight matchups, Pawnee finally came back down to earth on Friday. They took a 14-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tonkawa Buccaneers. The game marked the Black Bears' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Westyn Freeman was nothing short of spectacular for Tonkawa: he rushed for 40 yards and one TD, and also picked up 33 receiving yards and one score.

Pawnee's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3. As for Tonkawa, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

Pawnee wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 50-0 win against Oklahoma Union on the 7th. As for Tonkawa, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 62-14 victory against Nowata on the 7th.
