Softball Recap: Thornton Fractional South Takes a Loss

Thornton Fractional South extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping their season record down to 1-12 in the process. They came up short against the Tinley Park Titans, falling 17-2. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Red Wolves couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Tinley Park, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by ten runs or more this season.

For Tinley Park's part, the team relied heavily on Megan Piotrowski, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, seven RBI, and two runs. Those seven RBI gave Piotrowski a new career-high. Lilia Flores also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Thornton Fractional South wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-0 defeat against Lemont on the 22nd. As for Tinley Park, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 15-5 victory against Bremen on the 22nd.
