Soccer Game Preview: Foothill vs. Amador Valley

The Foothill Falcons are taking a road trip to take on the Amador Valley Dons at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Foothill is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Castro Valley on Monday. Foothill came up short against Castro Valley, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 510th, while the Trojans are ranked 242nd).

Meanwhile, Amador Valley kept a clean sheet against Tracy on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bulldogs.

Foothill's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Amador Valley, they now have a winning record of 3-2-2.

Everything went Foothill's way against Amador Valley in their previous meeting back in February, as Foothill made off with a 5-2 victory. Will Foothill repeat their success, or does Amador Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
