Basketball Recap: Cherokee Washington Skates Past Alta-Aurelia with Ease

Cherokee Washington had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 35-point drubbing they dealt Alta-Aurelia on Thursday. The Cherokee Washington Braves simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Alta-Aurelia Warriors 78-43. The Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Cherokee Washington is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.5 points over those games. As for Alta-Aurelia, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-19.
