Basketball Recap: Manor Comes Up Short

Manor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 58-41 bruising from the Del Rio Rams.

When it comes to explaining why Manor lost, don't look at Majer Hunt. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Hunt is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 56% in the last six games he's played. Kayden Chandler also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Manor's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Del Rio, they moved to 10-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Manor will head out to face off against Hutto at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs' defense better be ready for this one: the Hippos have averaged an impressive 57.5 points per game this season. As for Del Rio, they will square off against Midland Legacy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
