Softball Recap: Lakewood Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Lakewood had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Harper Creek Beavers on Tuesday, falling 11-1. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Beavers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Coming up, Lakewood will square off against Ionia at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Harper Creek, they will challenge Norrix at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
