Baseball Recap: Washington's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Washington was forced to take a big defeat against they on Tuesday, they got the better of them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Keystone Oaks Golden Eagles by a score of 12-7. This was a revenge game for the Prexies: when they faced off against the Golden Eagles on Tuesday, they had to take a 15-4 loss.

Isaac Charnik made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Charnik was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs. He has become a key player for Washington: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-14 otherwise.

In other batting news, Caleb Patton was excellent, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Hagan, who went 3-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Washington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Keystone Oaks only posted an OBP of .394.

Washington moved to 5-14 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Keystone Oaks, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

Washington will have a chance to go back-to-back against Keystone Oaks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
