Wenatchee hadn't done well against Sunnyside recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Panthers walked away with a 58-49 win over the Grizzlies. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Panthers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 239th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 64th).

Wenatchee's win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Sunnyside, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wenatchee will take on Eisenhower at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Cadets have now posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups. As for Sunnyside, they will square off against West Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Grizzlies surely won't give up without a fight.
