Recap: Victor Pirates vs. Lincoln Lynx
The Victor Pirates and the Lincoln Lynx squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Victor Pirates had to settle for second. They were dealt a 70-26 loss at the hands of the Lynx. Victor's defeat continues an unfortunate trend for the squad, making it six in a row.
Lincoln's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Andrew Brown, who scored 15 points along with five assists and five steals. Brown is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Wesson Dempster, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Victor's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 13-1.
Victor will be playing at home against Valley Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln will take on Drummond at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Drummond knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 matchups -- so hopefully Lincoln likes a good challenge.
