Football Recap: Newbury Park Panthers vs. Thousand Oaks Lancers
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Newbury Park and Thousand Oaks, and Thousand Oaks kept the tradition alive. The Panthers fell 17-7 to the Lancers on Friday. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Hayden Vercher did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 93 receiving yards.
Newbury Park dropped their record down to 4-5 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Thousand Oaks, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.
