Softball Recap: Riverton Parke Gets the Win

Riverton Parke won the last time they faced Covington and things went their way on Monday too. The Panthers came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 5-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Kalley Jukes made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. Jukes was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.

Jukes wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Hadleigh Nickels, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Riverton Parke's record now sits at 12-6. As for Covington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Riverton Parke beat the Trojans by a score of 15-11 later that day.
