Basketball Game Preview: Elbert County Blue Devils vs. Hart County Bulldogs

Elbert County hasn't had much luck against Hart County recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Elbert County Blue Devils just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Hart County Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. One thing working in Elbert County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups.

Elbert County took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 55-54 win over Athens Academy. The victory was some much needed relief for the Blue Devils as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Hart County unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took an 80-75 hit to the loss column at the hands of Powdersville. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Patriots 17-12 in the first quarter.

Elbert County's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-7. As for Hart County, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.

Elbert County couldn't quite finish off Hart County in their previous meeting on Saturday and fell 77-74. Can Elbert County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
