Bogota (N.J.) and
Lodi (N.J.) both tightened up defensively, but Bogota managed to score enough to pull out the 7-6 victory.
The Buccaneers scored on a rushing touchdown to pull out the win.
The lead that Bogota took on a
Gordon Kohles touchdown run with 8:00 to go in the second quarter stood up for the duration of the game, as neither team managed to score in the second half.
BHS's standout player in the win was Kohles. The senior quarterback ran for one touchdown. He has now scored 10 touchdowns on the season.
The Rams' lone touchdown came on a run in the second quarter.
The Buccaneers entered the contest giving up 19.8 points per game this year. Bogota held firm on the defensive front, and kept Lodi well below the 19.6 points it had been averaging per game.
