Rock Port hasn't had much luck against Stanberry recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rock Port Blue Jays are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they take on the Stanberry Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Rock Port focused on turnovers this week as team gave up four on Friday.

Rock Port is headed out to face Stanberry after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Rock Port had just enough and edged Pattonsburg out 62-60. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Blue Jays as it put an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Rock Port found their leader in underclassman Brock Holmes, who rushed for 200 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Corbyn Jakub was in the mix too, providing Rock Port with two rushing touchdowns touchdowns.

Another player making a difference was Colby McQueen, who rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries.

Rock Port suffered a grim 52-32 defeat to Stanberry in their previous meeting back in September of 2023. Thankfully for Rock Port, Tucker Schieber (who rushed for 185 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 34 receiving yards) won't be suiting up this time.
