Recap: Central vs. Peach County

Peach County were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Central 50-8. Followers of Peach County probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected five blowout victories.

Peach County started the game off right with 22 first-half points. Meanwhile, Central couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 22-0 heading into the break. Peach County put the matchup away in the third quarter with 14 points from the offense and eight points allowed from the defense.

Junior Kapien Everett, who rushed for 83 yards and 3 touchdowns, was a major factor in Peach County's success.

The win (their 4th in a row) raised Peach County's record to 6-2. This is the second loss in a row for Central and nudges their record down to 2-7.

It's more conference action for Peach County and Central in their upcoming matches. Peach County will square off against Jackson at 7:30 PM next week. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown. Central will be playing at home against Rutland at at 7:30 PM next week. Rutland stagger in eager to bring about an end to their eight-game losing streak.
