Mountain View is 2-8 against Red Mountain since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Tuesday. The Toros will host the Mountain Lions  at 3:45  p.m. Mountain View is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2  runs per game  this season.
Mountain View came out on top against Liberty  on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Toros walked away with  a   6-2  victory over the Lions. The  win continues a trend for the Toros in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won four in a row.

 The team  relied heavily on  Kylynn Sylvester, who  went 3-for-4 with two  doubles, two  RBI,  and one  run. Those  two  doubles gave  her a new career-high.  Keelie Goodman was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI.
Meanwhile, Red Mountain faced O'Connor in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Mountain Lions walked away with  an   8-3  victory over the Eagles. The  win was nothing new for the Mountain Lions as they're now sitting on four straight.
 Kendall Cochran spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than eight  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Payton Westra was  incredible,  going 1-for-2 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Saige Peters, who  went 1-for-3 with one  home run and three  RBI.
 Red Mountain's victory was  their tenth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 16-4-1. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Mountain View, their victory bumped their record up to 18-8.
Tuesday's   match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Mountain View has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .468. However, it's not like Red Mountain struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .493. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
