Monrovia was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Eminence on Wednesday. The Bulldogs blew past the Eels 66-44. The Bulldogs pushed the score to 53-33 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eels had little chance of recovering from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Monrovia to victory, but perhaps none more so than Camryn Wolfe, who posted ten points and three steals. Caelyn Arnold also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

Several Eels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Khloee Kirk, who shot 44% from the field to rack up 17 points and seven rebounds. That was a full 38.6% of Eminence's points, marking the third time in a row Kirk has put up more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jay Youngblood, who went 6-for-12 on her way to 15 points.

Monrovia's record is now 5-1. As for Eminence, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Coming up, Monrovia is taking a road trip to take on University at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Trailblazers at the right time seeing as the Trailblazers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Eminence, they will host Mooresville Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
