Volleyball Recap: Battery Creek Takes a Loss

Battery Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Hanahan Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-10, 25-9.

Hanahan found their leader in sophomore Cydnie Murray, who had eight digs and five aces.

Battery Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Hanahan, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-12-2.

Looking ahead, Battery Creek will head out on the road to square off against Cross at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Hanahan, they will be playing at home against Fort Dorchester at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
