Baseball Recap: West Central Area Comes Up Short

West Central Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tigers, falling 16-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Thursday.

West Central Area's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta, the win keeps they at an undefeated 12-0.

Looking ahead, West Central Area will take on Minnewaska Area at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lakers' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta, they are taking a road trip to take on Lac qui Parle Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
