Volleyball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Pius XI Catholic's Fifth in Last Six Outings

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Pius XI Catholic had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against South Milwaukee/St. Thomas More by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Popes, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Among those leading the charge was Mariano Rivera, who had 16 digs and two assists. That's the most digs he has posted since back in September.

Pius XI Catholic was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They are 4-2 when they serve at least ten aces.
