Softball Game Preview: West Craven Eagles vs. Farmville Central Jaguars

The West Craven Eagles will square off against the Farmville Central Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. West Craven comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

West Craven came up short against Swansboro last Monday, falling 13-1.

Meanwhile, Farmville Central came up short against Bear Grass Charter on Monday and fell 13-9.

Claire Neely made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-5. Amber Mozingo was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.

Even though they lost, Farmville Central lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in May of 2024.

West Craven's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Farmville Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Everything went West Craven's way against Farmville Central in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as West Craven made off with an 8-2 victory. Does West Craven have another victory up their sleeve, or will Farmville Central turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
