Baseball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

If Central was riding high fresh off their 10-2 takedown of Bellwood-Antis on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Dragons fell just short of the Bald Eagle Area Eagles by a score of 7-6 on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last seven times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Central has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Bald Eagle Area, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Central is taking a road trip to challenge Bishop Carroll at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bald Eagle Area, they will be playing at home against Mount Union at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
