Philo is a perfect 3-0 against Coshocton since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Electrics will host the Redskins at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Philo is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over Morgan on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Josh Gooden was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and three RBI. Philo is undefeated when Gooden posts three or more hits, but 2-8 otherwise.

In other batting news, Philo let Garrett Tom and Clayton Colborn run wild. Tom went 3-for-5 with four RBI, one triple, and one run, while Colborn went 2-for-3 with three runs and four RBI. Those three runs gave Colborn a new career-high. Ky-Mani Philip was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Philo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.2.
Meanwhile, Coshocton came into Tuesday's game having lost ten straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over Crooksville on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Redskins have posted since April 3rd.
Philo has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Coshocton, their victory bumped their record up to 3-11.
Philo skirted past Coshocton 3-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Electrics repeat their success, or do the Redskins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
