Volleyball Recap: Athens Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Athens unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Portage Northern Huskies on Saturday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-19.

Portage Northern now has a winning record of 2-1.

Athens didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Fowler on the 23rd. As for Portage Northern, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Elk Rapids on the 23rd.
