Volleyball Recap: Avon Takes a Loss

Avon was the 3-0 winner over Tripp-Delmont/Armour when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Pirates fell 2-0 to the Nighthawks on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Rilyn Thury paced Avon's offense, picking up 11 kills. Thury got some help from Brielle Voigt and her 16 assists. Voigt also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kaydence Metzger, each putting up two.

Avon's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Tripp-Delmont/Armour, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.

Avon has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Gayville-Volin on the 4th. As for Tripp-Delmont/Armour, they will face off against Wagner at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
