Baseball Game Preview: Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines vs. Hebron Christian Lions

For the second straight game, Prince Avenue Christian will face off against Hebron Christian. Prince Avenue Christian will venture away from home to face off against Hebron Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Prince Avenue Christian will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

While Prince Avenue Christian's win against Hebron Christian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Prince Avenue Christian sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over Hebron Christian on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Drew Payne tossed a big game, striking out 15 batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Prince Avenue Christian's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Judson Hartwell, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits Hartwell has posted since back in April of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Hebron Christian and nudges their season record down to 14-9. As for Prince Avenue Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 18-3.
