Football Recap: Lakewood Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Lakewood's offense. They were dealt a 42-0 defeat at the hands of the Bellingham Bayhawks on Friday. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bayhawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Lakewood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bellingham, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Lakewood and Bellingham could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. The Cougars will challenge Sehome at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (132 vs. 37). Meanwhile, Bellingham (ranked 212th) will meet Anacortes (ranked seventh) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
