Volleyball Recap: Greeley Central Comes Up Short

Greeley Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Arvada West. Greeley Central was not able to make up for their defeat to Arvada West from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Greeley Central took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-12, 25-15.

Their offense was headlined by Kreed Greiner and Jackson Gollhofer, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Jonathan Chumacero and his nine assists.

Greeley Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Arvada West, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Greeley Central will square off against rival Pomona at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Arvada West is set to face off against their familiar foe Legacy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
