Softball Game Preview: Gonzaga Prep Bullpups vs. Mt. Spokane Wildcats

Gonzaga Prep is 0-10 against Mt. Spokane since April of 2019 but things could change on Monday. Gonzaga Prep will be playing at home against Mt. Spokane at 4:00 p.m. Gonzaga Prep will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

Gonzaga Prep is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came up short against Shadle Park on Friday, falling 21-11.

Gonzaga Prep saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taryn Barbieri, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Mt. Spokane put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let Mead get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 13 runs or more this season.

Gonzaga Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Mt. Spokane, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Gonzaga Prep might still be hurting after the 24-7 defeat they got from Mt. Spokane when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Gonzaga Prep avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
